Description

A floor-length A-line mother dress in chiffon and satin with a V-neck and short sleeves. The skirt is pleated from the empire seam, and the dress falls to the floor. The V-neck drops to a moderate point. Covered shoulders and a full skirt suit a ceremony and the reception.

Chiffon gives the pleats their fall over the satin lining, so the skirt keeps an even line. Lining runs the length of the sleeve to the cuff. The V stops at a moderate point. A hidden zip at the side does the fastening. The zipper side closes the dress, which keeps the back looking tidy. The pleated is set by hand, so it sits flat against the chiffon. Hand-set pleated keeps the detail sitting flat on the chiffon. The pleated is stitched by hand, flush against the chiffon.
