Description

A floor-length column evening dress in chiffon with spaghetti straps. Applique runs across the bodice, and the skirt is draped from the empire seam to the floor. The straps are thin and sit far apart. It is cut for a pageant or a formal dance.

Chiffon gives the drape its fall over the lining, so the skirt keeps a light line. Each strap is cut thin and sewn into the bodice edge. The applique sits flat, stitched in place. The back fastens with a zip. The applique is set by hand, so it sits flat against the chiffon. Hand-set applique keeps the detail sitting flat on the chiffon.
