Description

A tea-length ball gown cocktail dress in satin and tulle with a scoop neckline. Embroidery and buttons finish the bodice, and the full skirt falls from the natural waist to just below the knee. The scoop falls just below the collarbone. It works for a cocktail party or a graduation.

Tulle gives the skirt its shape over the satin lining, so it holds to the hem. The buttons are stitched down the bodice. The bodice is embroidered rather than appliqued. A zip closes down the back. The embroidery is set by hand, so it sits flat against the satin. Hand-set embroidery keeps the detail sitting flat on the satin. The embroidery is stitched by hand, flush against the satin.
