Description

A floor-length ball gown first communion dress in satin with a square neckline. A bow and belt mark the waist, and the full skirt falls from the empire seam into a short sweep. The square neckline frames the collarbone rather than dropping low.

Satin holds an even surface over the full lining, so the skirt keeps a full spread. The bow is fixed at the back. A zip at the centre back closes the dress. The skirt gathers at the waist, so it keeps some movement. The skirt keeps its line from the waist to the hem in satin. Underneath, the satin lining holds the shape, so the hem stays level. The satin lining carries the shape, which keeps the hem sitting straight. With satin lining below, the hem keeps an even line.
