Description

A short ball gown cocktail dress in satin and tulle with a sweetheart neckline. Embroidery and rhinestones run across the bodice, and the full skirt falls from the empire seam to above the knee. The sweetheart edge is faced to hold its curve. It suits a cocktail party or a sweet sixteen.

Tulle gives the skirt its shape over the satin lining, so it holds to the hem. The bodice is embroidered rather than appliqued. Rhinestones are worked by hand along the bodice. The lace-up back draws the fit in at the ribs. Cut level, the sweetheart neckline holds the front straight. The embroidery is set by hand, so it sits flat against the satin.
