The side seam hides the zip that closes the dress. Underneath, the chiffon lining holds the shape, so the hem stays level. The chiffon lining carries the shape, which keeps the hem sitting straight. With chiffon lining below, the hem keeps an even line. The one shoulder neckline is cut to sit level across the chest.
