Description

A short ball gown cocktail party dress in organza and satin with a sweetheart neckline. Rhinestones mark the bodice, and the full skirt falls from the empire seam to above the knee. The sweetheart edge is faced to hold its curve. It fits a cocktail party, a homecoming dance or a sweet sixteen.

Organza gives the skirt its shape over the satin lining, so it holds to the hem. Rhinestones are worked by hand along the bodice. Facing holds the sweetheart curve in place. A laced back gives some adjustment through the middle. The lace-up closes the dress, which keeps the back looking tidy. The rhinestone is set by hand, so it sits flat against the organza. Hand-set rhinestone keeps the detail sitting flat on the organza.
