Description

A short A-line cocktail party dress in organza and satin with a sweetheart neckline. Applique and beading run across the bodice, and the skirt falls from the empire seam to above the knee. The neckline keeps its sweetheart curve above the chest. It is cut for a cocktail party or a sweet sixteen.

Over the satin lining, organza keeps the skirt light to the hem. Hand-set beading runs along the bodice. Applique is sewn flat against the fabric. The back laces up to set the fit at the ribs. The applique is set by hand, so it sits flat against the organza. Hand-set applique keeps the detail sitting flat on the organza. The applique is stitched by hand, flush against the organza. The waist seam sits narrow, so the middle stays marked without a belt.
