A floor-length A-line mother dress in taffeta with a bateau neckline and long sleeves. Applique runs across the bodice, and the skirt flares from the empire seam to the floor. Cut as a bateau, the neckline sits high on the collarbone. It carries off a formal wedding or a church service.

Taffeta holds its shape over the lining, so the skirt keeps a crisp line to the hem. The upper arm stays covered by sleeves lined to the cuff. Applique is sewn flat against the fabric.
