Description

A floor-length A-line evening dress in chiffon and lace with a V-neck and three-quarter sleeves. Beading runs over the bodice, and the skirt falls from the empire seam to the floor. The V stops at a moderate depth. It is cut for a formal dance, a pageant or a military ball.

Chiffon and lace layer over the lining, so the skirt keeps a light fall to the hem. Sleeves are lined down the arm and end below the elbow. Beading is stitched by hand across the bodice. The dress closes on a concealed side zip. Underneath, the lace lining holds the shape, so the hem stays level. The lace lining carries the shape, which keeps the hem sitting straight. With lace lining below, the hem keeps an even line. Hand-set beading keeps the detail sitting flat on the chiffon.
