Description

A high-low A-line little girl dress in satin and organza with a mandarin collar. Applique and beading run across the bodice, and the front hem sits above the ankle while the back falls lower. The collar closes high at the neck.

Organza gives the skirt a light shape over the satin lining, so the hem keeps its line. The bodice carries hand-set beading along its length. The collar is lined so it stands. A short zip closes the centre back. The waist seam is kept narrow, so it marks the middle without a belt. A narrow waist seam marks the middle on its own. The waist seam sits narrow, which defines the middle. The skirt is gathered at the seam, which gives it something to fall from. Gathering at the seam keeps the skirt from pulling flat.
