A floor-length A-line evening dress in chiffon and lace with a bateau neckline. The lace covers the bodice and the skirt falls from the empire seam to the floor. Cut as a bateau, the neckline sits high on the collarbone. It suits a formal evening or a pageant.

Chiffon and lace layer over the lining, so the pattern reads clearly to the hem. The bateau edge is faced so it holds. The bodice is lined through the middle. A zip closes down the back. Underneath, the lace lining holds the shape, so the hem stays level. The lace lining carries the shape, which keeps the hem sitting straight. With lace lining below, the hem keeps an even line.
