Description

A knee-length column mother dress in satin with a scoop neckline and three-quarter sleeves. Applique runs across the bodice, and the dress falls from the empire seam to below the knee. The neckline is cut as a scoop, sitting below the collarbone. The dress works for a formal wedding or a reception.

Satin holds an even surface over the full lining, so the column keeps a straight line. Sleeves are lined down the arm and end below the elbow. Applique is sewn flat against the fabric. A zip closes the back. The applique is stitched by hand, flush against the satin. The waist seam is kept narrow instead of using a belt. The lining runs to the hem, so the skirt keeps its shape as you move.
