Description

A knee-length A-line cocktail dress in organza and satin with an off-the-shoulder neckline and short sleeves. The skirt falls from the empire seam to below the knee, and the neckline crosses the upper arms. The collarbone is left open above the band. It reads right for a cocktail party or a graduation celebration.

Organza gives the skirt a light shape over the satin lining, so it holds to the hem. Lining runs the length of the sleeve to the cuff. The band is stitched flat where it meets the arm. A zip closes down the back. The off-the-shoulder neckline is cut to sit level across the chest. The off-the-shoulder neckline sits level, which keeps the bodice straight. Cut level, the off-the-shoulder neckline holds the front straight. The detailing is set by hand, so it sits flat against the organza.
