Description

A floor-length ball gown prom evening dress in satin and tulle with a scoop neckline. Beading covers the bodice, and the full skirt falls from the empire seam to the floor. The scoop runs below the collarbone. It works for a prom or a formal evening out.

Tulle gives the skirt its shape over the satin lining, so it holds to the hem. The row of beading stays straight. The scoop is cut level across the chest. The dress closes with a zip at the centre back. The skirt is gathered at the seam, which gives it something to fall from. Gathering at the seam keeps the skirt from pulling flat. The skirt gathers at the waist, so it keeps some movement. Lined sleeves keep the arm line tidy to the cuff.
