Description

A floor-length A-line mother of the bride dress in chiffon and organza with a V-neck and three-quarter sleeves. Applique runs across the bodice, and the skirt falls from the empire seam into a short sweep. The V sits at a moderate depth.

Chiffon and organza layer over the lining, so the skirt keeps a light fall to the hem. Applique is sewn flat against the fabric. The sleeves stop below the elbow. The dress closes on a zip at the back. Underneath, the organza lining holds the shape, so the hem stays level. The organza lining carries the shape, which keeps the hem sitting straight. With organza lining below, the hem keeps an even line. The applique is set by hand, so it sits flat against the chiffon. Hand-set applique keeps the detail sitting flat on the chiffon.
