A court train A-line formal evening dress in satin with a halter neckline and an open back. Applique and beading run across the bodice, and the skirt falls from the empire seam into a court train. The halter leaves the shoulders bare, and the back is cut away. It is cut for a pageant or a formal dance.

Satin holds an even surface over the full lining, so the train keeps its spread. Hand-set beading runs along the bodice. The back opening is faced so it holds.
