Description

A short ball gown cocktail dress in organza with a sweetheart neckline. Sequins and beading mark the bodice, and the ruffled skirt falls from the empire seam to above the knee. The sweetheart line crosses the chest and keeps its curve. It works for a cocktail hour or a graduation.

Organza gives the ruffle its shape over the lining, so the hem keeps a clean edge. The bodice is beaded by hand in a straight row. The ruffles are set into the skirt seams. A laced back gives some adjustment through the middle. The skirt keeps its line from the waist to the hem in organza. Underneath, the organza lining holds the shape, so the hem stays level.
