Description

A floor-length A-line evening dress in chiffon and elastic woven satin with spaghetti straps. Hand-made flowers and a ruffle mark the waist, and the skirt falls from the empire seam to the floor. The straps are thin and sit far apart. It suits a pageant, a formal dance or a military ball.

Chiffon gives the skirt a light fall over the satin lining, so it holds to the hem. The flowers are stitched at the waist rather than pinned. The ruffle is stitched at the waist. The back fastens on a hidden zip. Underneath, the elastic woven satin lining holds the shape, so the hem stays level. With elastic woven satin lining below, the hem keeps an even line. The waist seam sits narrow, so the middle stays marked without a belt.
