Description

A short A-line homecoming dress in satin and organza with a one-shoulder neckline. The bodice carries beading, and the skirt falls from the empire seam to above the knee. The neckline sits on one shoulder with the other bare. It is cut for a homecoming dance or a graduation party.

Organza gives the skirt a light shape over the satin lining, so it holds to the hem. The bodice is beaded by hand in a straight row. The neckline band is stitched flat against the shoulder. A zip closes down the back. The organza lining carries the shape, which keeps the hem sitting straight. With organza lining below, the hem keeps an even line. The beading is set by hand, so it sits flat against the satin. Hand-set beading keeps the detail sitting flat on the satin.
