Description

A floor-length A-line evening dress in chiffon and satin with a V-neck and cap sleeves. The skirt is pleated from the empire seam to the floor. Dropping to a moderate point, the V frames the neck. Cap sleeves cover the top of the arm without a full sleeve. The balance works for a formal evening or a prom.

Chiffon gives the pleats their fall over the satin lining, so the skirt keeps an even line. The cap sleeves are lined at the edge. The pleats are set into the waist seam. A zip runs down the centre back. The v-neck neckline is cut to sit level across the chest. The v-neck neckline sits level, which keeps the bodice straight. Cut level, the v-neck neckline holds the front straight. Lining through the bodice keeps the front smooth.
