Description

A floor-length A-line formal mother dress in chiffon and lace with a V-neck and three-quarter sleeves. Applique runs across the bodice, and the skirt falls from the empire seam to the floor into a short sweep. The V is cut to a moderate depth. The sleeve is cut from lace and ends at the forearm.

Chiffon and lace layer over the lining, so the skirt keeps a light fall to the hem. Applique is sewn flat against the fabric. The sleeve ends below the elbow. The back is closed with a hidden zip. The v-neck neckline sits level, which keeps the bodice straight. Cut level, the v-neck neckline holds the front straight. The applique is set by hand, so it sits flat against the chiffon. Hand-set applique keeps the detail sitting flat on the chiffon.
