A knee-length column two piece mother dress in taffeta and organza with a bateau neckline. Applique runs across the bodice, and a jacket comes with the dress, with it falling from the natural waist to below the knee. The bateau line sits high across the collarbone.

Taffeta holds its shape under an organza layer, so the column keeps a crisp line. The applique is stitched down flat. The jacket is lined and finished on all edges. A zip down the centre back takes the fastening. The applique is set by hand, so it sits flat against the taffeta. Hand-set applique keeps the detail sitting flat on the taffeta. The applique is stitched by hand, flush against the taffeta. For a wedding party ceremony, the dress reads formal without a full-length skirt.
