Description

A short A-line little girls Easter dress in satin and organza with a bateau neckline. A bow, hand-made flowers and beading mark the waist, and the skirt falls from the empire seam to above the knee. The bateau neckline sits high over the collarbone.

Organza gives the skirt a light shape over the satin lining, so it holds its line. The waist flowers are stitched on rather than pinned. The bow sits at the back. Fastening is by a zip at the centre back. The bow is set by hand, so it sits flat against the satin. Hand-set bow keeps the detail sitting flat on the satin. The bow is stitched by hand, flush against the satin. It holds up for a hall ceremony on its own. The short hem stays clear of the ground, which makes the dress easy to wear.
