Description

A floor-length A-line mother dress in chiffon with a V-neck and three-quarter sleeves. The skirt is pleated from the natural waist, and the dress falls to the floor. The V stops at a moderate point on the chest. Covered arms and a full skirt suit a ceremony and the reception.

Chiffon gives the pleats their fall over the lining, so the skirt keeps an even line. Each sleeve is lined and cut to stop below the elbow. The neckline opens into a moderate V. A zip closes the back. The pleated is set by hand, so it sits flat against the chiffon. Hand-set pleated keeps the detail sitting flat on the chiffon. The pleated is stitched by hand, flush against the chiffon. The line works for a hall setting without needing a longer skirt.
