Description

A floor-length A-line first communion dress in satin and organza with a square neckline and cap sleeves. A sash and bow mark the waist, and the skirt falls from the empire seam to the floor. The square neckline frames the collarbone rather than dropping low. The skirt ends just above the floor.

Over the satin lining, organza keeps the skirt light to the hem. The inside is finished soft, which matters over a long day. The cap sleeves are lined at the edge. A concealed zip closes the back. The sash is set by hand, so it sits flat against the satin. Hand-set sash keeps the detail sitting flat on the satin. The sash is stitched by hand, flush against the satin. The seams are pressed open, which keeps the skirt falling flat.
