Description

A sweep train A-line formal evening dress in satin with a strapless neckline. The skirt is pleated from the empire seam into a short sweep, and beading marks the bodice. The bodice is cut to hold the neckline up on its own. Cut in plus size, the dress keeps the same line through the middle.

Satin gives the pleats their fall over the lining, so the sweep keeps its shape. Beading is worked by hand down the bodice. The pleats are set into the waist seam. A zip runs down the centre back. The skirt keeps its line from the waist to the hem in satin. Underneath, the satin lining holds the shape, so the hem stays level. The satin lining carries the shape, which keeps the hem sitting straight.
