Description

Brought to tea length in satin, the dress has a sweetheart neckline. Beading runs along the neckline and around the waist, and a ruffle finishes the hem just below the knee. The satin keeps the surface smooth, so the beading and the ruffle are the only textures on the dress. The cut works well for a garden ceremony or a reception held outdoors.

Satin holds its shape over the full lining, so the ruffle keeps a clean edge through the day. The beading is set by hand along the neckline and the waist. A zipper back closes the bodice. There is no train, so nothing trails over grass or gravel when you walk in. The ruffle is a narrow band rather than a full skirt of gathers.
