A short A-line wedding dress in organza and satin with a mandarin collar. Applique runs across the bodice, and the skirt falls from the empire seam to above the knee. The collar closes high at the neck, which covers more than an open cut. The cut fits a small garden ceremony or a civil service.

Organza gives the skirt a light shape over the satin lining, so it holds to the hem. The applique is stitched down flat across the bodice. The collar is lined so it stands up rather than folding. A zip at the back does the fastening. The applique is set by hand, so it sits flat against the organza. Hand-set applique keeps the detail sitting flat on the organza.
