Description

A knee-length A-line bridesmaid dress in chiffon and elastic woven satin with a strap neckline. The bodice is pleated and appliqued, and the skirt falls from the empire seam to below the knee. The straps hold the neckline in place and leave the shoulders open. It suits a wedding party or a semi-formal celebration.

Chiffon gives the pleats their fall over the satin lining, so the skirt keeps an even line. The straps are cut narrow and stitched into the bodice edge. The pleats are set into the bodice. A zip runs down the centre back. The skirt is gathered at the seam, which gives it something to fall from. Gathering at the seam keeps the skirt from pulling flat. The skirt gathers at the waist, so it keeps some movement.
